Arranging A Direct Cremation

The direct cremation will take place at the North Devon Crematorium, Barnstaple, and will be overseen by one of our experienced local funeral directors.

We will collect the deceased from their place of residence, nursing home or hospital during office hours, out of hours will incur an additional fee.

We will guide you through the next steps and help complete all required forms.

The cremation will take place on a day and time of our choosing, and must be paid in full in advance.

A simple coffin, up to 22" wide, is also included in the price.

The ashes will be ready to collect from us within 14 days and must be collected within 28 days of the service.

If you would like your relative to be dressed in their own clothing, and to visit in our chapel of rest, this is possible, but there is an additional fee. The large companies cannot offer you this.

If the direct cremation is not for you, but a full traditional service is too much, then a simple cremation may meet your needs.

The cremation will take place at a date and time of our choosing, normally 9am, for a 15 minute service.

You'll be cared for throughout by one of our experienced team, and a funeral director and 2 bearers on the day of the service.

A plain oak veneered coffin is supplied and included, up to 22" wide, in the simple package.

Viewings, dressing in own clothes and out of hours removals all incur and additional fee.
